Position Overview :  We are seeking a motivated and knowledgeable Field Sales Agronomist to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for driving sales and providing agronomic expertise to our customers in the field. You will work closely with farmers, producers, and agricultural clients to offer tailored solutions that optimize crop production and improve overall farm profitability.

Key Responsibilities :

Sales & Business Development :

Develop and maintain relationships with current and potential clients in the agricultural sector.

  • Identify sales opportunities, promote agronomy products, and drive revenue growth.
  • Conduct regular visits to clients to assess needs, provide recommendations, and offer solutions to enhance their farm operations.
  • Educate clients on product offerings, including crop protection, fertilizers, soil amendments, and other agronomic solutions.
  • Achieve sales targets and business goals through proactive sales strategies and relationship management.
  • Provide agronomic advice and insights based on industry trends, research, and field observations.
  • Conduct soil tests, analyze data, and provide personalized recommendations for crop management.
  • Assist clients with field trials and product demonstrations to showcase the effectiveness of products and solutions.
  • Work with agronomy teams to deliver specialized solutions tailored to client needs.
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for clients, ensuring timely responses to inquiries and resolving any issues that may arise.
  • Conduct farm visits and field assessments to diagnose crop challenges and recommend improvements.
  • Offer post-sale support and follow-up to ensure customer satisfaction and retention.
  • Keep up to date with market trends, new products, and emerging technologies in agronomy.
  • Collect and analyze customer feedback to help refine sales strategies and product offerings.
  • Prepare reports on sales activities, forecasts, and market opportunities for management.

Qualifications :

  • Bachelor’s degree in Agronomy, Crop Science, Agricultural Business, or a related field.
  • Proven experience in agricultural sales, agronomy, or a related field (2 years preferred).
  • Strong understanding of crop production, soil health, pest management, and fertilizer applications.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to build and maintain relationships with clients.
  • Ability to work independently, manage time effectively, and prioritize tasks.
  • Valid driver’s license and willingness to travel within assigned territory.
  • Knowledge of the local agricultural market and farming practices is a plus.
