Key Responsibilities:
- Follow guidelines to operate seed conditioning machinery, perform quality checks, and document all relevant activities as required.
- Maximize the number of units bagged per run while maintaining seed quality and purity throughout the process.
- Accurately complete and maintain all conditioning records, ensuring compliance with quality standards.
- Clean equipment thoroughly between conditioning runs to uphold product integrity and ensure smooth operation.
- Lift and stack materials up to 68 lbs. for extended periods, and climb stairs or ladders to monitor and adjust equipment as needed.
- Conduct preseason maintenance on equipment to reduce downtime during peak conditioning season.
- Perform all tasks in accordance with company safety protocols, maintaining a safe and organized work environment.
- Assist in implementing and upholding the Quality Management System and communicate effectively with team members and supervisors.
- Work varying shifts as required during peak seasons, with the possibility of additional duties as assigned by the department supervisor.
Requirements:
- Strong focus on maintaining seed quality and purity in all stages of conditioning.
- Excellent communication skills, able to engage positively with internal teams and external partners.
- Ability to understand, operate, and troubleshoot seed conditioning equipment.
- Adherence to company safety and quality standards and policies.
- Ability to manage time effectively to ensure optimal plant efficiency and profitability.
- Must pass a background check and drug test.
- Ability to lift heavy materials and work in a physically demanding environment.
- Willingness to work shift hours during peak seasons.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $18.00 - $19.50 per hour
Expected hours: No less than 40 per week
