Job Title: Regional Agriculture Manager
Pay: $100,000 /year
Position Overview:
The Regional Agriculture Manager plays a key role in leading and supporting the Agronomy Division. This individual will work to ensure maximum efficiency in the production, delivery, and profitability of agronomy products and services, while maintaining the highest standards of customer service. The role also encompasses managing compliance with regulations, corporate policies, and procedures.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Review inventories, margins, expenses, and assume responsibility for the profitability of locations within the assigned region.
- Manage all assets within the region and ensure the return generated from those assets is maximized.
- Oversee 6 counties.
- Provide leadership and guidance on staffing decisions for locations and sales teams, ensuring optimal staffing levels and performance.
- Contribute to the senior leadership team by helping to formulate long and short-term plans, policies, programs, and objectives for the Agronomy Division.
- Develop and implement the Regional Business Plan to support sales growth and operational efficiency within the region.
- Initiate, coordinate, and oversee key special projects essential to the growth and success of the Agronomy Division.
- Collaborate on the development of targeted training programs designed to meet the needs of sales staff and enhance their performance.
- Oversee the management of equipment needs, replacement schedules, maintenance, and chemical and fertilizer inventory across all designated locations.
- Ensure high operational standards are maintained to meet both customer and company quality requirements for products and services.
- Formulate, recommend, and execute policies and programs that enhance the company's competitive position and profitability in the region.
- Maintain effective working relationships with the regional sales team and location managers, providing leadership and corrective action as needed.
- Stay informed on relevant information, technologies, and industry changes to drive innovation and ensure compliance.
- Perform additional duties as assigned by senior leadership.
- Manage and provide leadership to the regional sales team and location managers who report directly to the Agronomy Regional Director.
Education and Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree (B.S.) from a four-year college or university.
- Three to five years of relevant experience in agronomy, sales management, or equivalent, with a demonstrated ability to lead teams and drive results.
