What are the responsibilities and job description for the Oral Surgery Assistant position at Klene Center Oral & Facial Surgery?
Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery practice looking to add a leader type personality to our team that is hard working, kind, self-motivated, professional, reliable, honest, enjoys a fast pace and loves working with patients of all ages! This position open for approximately 4 days/week. Ideally desire candidates with a genuine interest in the specialty. Surgical assisting experience preferred. BLS mandatory. Job Description (not all inclusive):
Surgery room set up and break down
Takes radiology imaging including CBCTs; Must have certification
Seats and prepares patients for patient visits
Assists doctor during surgeries and visits out-patient
Possible first assisting in OR hospital setting
Assists with lab surgical work
Assures consents and paperwork completed
Handles post-op care and instruction
Assist handling instrument sterilization and infection control in office
Cleans and stocks surgical rooms
Inventory control
Trash pickup and disposal
Assists with front desk scheduling and calls as needed
Timely, present at work
