- Design, plan, and implement directory synchronization systems for Microsoft Active Directory and Windows-based systems across the enterprise
- Lead the analysis, design, and implementation of Active Directory and Identity Management solutions
- Take the lead in large-scale Active Directory and Identity Management projects
- Evaluate the current Active Directory environment, identify operational and technical challenges, and develop actionable solutions to address issues
- Provide data for regulatory compliance and support audits related to Active Directory and its associated systems
- Ensure the security and integrity of the corporate Active Directory forest, overseeing the protection of AD schema and maintaining its reliability
- Interact and collaborate with customers, service managers, and operational support teams to design, test, and deploy security and/or automation solutions to meet business needs
- Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior engineers and other team members
- Lead the evaluation of project requirements, analyzing the impact on the infrastructure, including equipment redundancy and capacity requirements
- Develop and maintain repeatable process documentation to standardize the installation, configuration, and ongoing maintenance of identity authorization processes
- Ensure all systems are compliant with the necessary STIGs (Security Technical Implementation Guides), implementing them across environments to meet security requirements
- Create and maintain detailed documentation for system configurations, processes, and troubleshooting procedures to support ongoing system operations
- Participate in on-call support rotations, handling critical system issues and resolving problems as they arise"
- A minimum of 7 years of experience in Windows system administration and management in an enterprise environment
- Ability to interpret product documentation to conceptualize and implement solutions for building Domain Controllers and Member Servers to support enterprise-level solutions
- Proficiency in Windows Server (2016, 2019, 2022), Active Directory, DNS, IIS, and Group Policy
- Proficiency in Group Policy Analysis, GPO Configuration & Item-Level Targeting, Workstation Configurations, Browser Configuration Settings
- Familiarity with VMView and other Applications that integrated with Active Directory
- Experience with PowerShell scripting, Active Directory, SCCM, HBSS, Windows Update Services (WSUS), and Exchange Servers
- Ability to implement and enforce security best practices and regulatory compliance requirements
- Experience managing and maintaining virtualization platforms (e.g., VMware, Hyper-V)
- Ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams and lead technical initiatives
- Ability to travel CONUS/OCONUS as required
- Experience with Microsoft Office products (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) for documentation and presentations
- In-depth understanding of Active Directory (AD) Attributes, LDAP Queries, and PowerShell scripting for modifying AD configurations
- Skilled in building and managing Windows Server environments from the ground up, including configuring organizational units (OUs) and Group Policy Objects (GPOs) to align with organizational requirements and security standards
- Comprehensive knowledge of configuring Active Directory Server Roles such as Certificate Authorities (CAs), IIS, File/Print, and DNS
- Proficient in managing Group Policy Objects (GPOs), Active Directory Sites, Replication Topology, and troubleshooting native Active Directory issues
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field
