Are you a compassionate and skilled Nurse Practitioner looking to make a difference in the lives of our smallest patients? At Klickitat Valley Health, we are seeking a dedicated Pediatric ARNP to provide high-quality Pediatric care in our Family Medicine clinic.
As a Pediatric Nurse Practitioner, you will deliver comprehensive medical care, including medical histories, clinical assessments, diagnoses, treatments, and patient education. You will play a key role in guiding patients toward improved health outcomes, demonstrating clinical expertise, safe decision-making, and excellence in customer service.
This position offers the opportunity to work collaboratively with a multidisciplinary team in a compassionate, ethical, and professional environment that reflects the mission, vision, and values of KVH. The Family Medicine Clinic has 4 Physicians and 10 mid level providers, a Medical Director, Clinical Manager and Office Support Manager. The clinic also offers Express Care, Pain Management, Behavioral Health, Dental, Optometry and Diabetes services. General Surgery and Orthopedics available. Podiatry, Cardiology, Dermatology, and Pulmonology specialists are regularly available as visiting physicians through our Specialty Clinic. Each FM provider has dedicated support staff including an MA and virtual scribe. The EMR is Meditech Expanse and providers are supported by a Clinical Informatics RN. Qualifications
Minimum Education, Training & Experience (includes licenses or certifications):
Safety Sensitive per WA SB5123: Yes
Education / Licensure:
- Graduate of an accredited nursing school with an active/current RN license in Washington State.
- Master’s or Doctoral Degree from an accredited school recognized by the American Association of Nurse Practitioners.
- Current unrestricted registration/license in Washington State as an Advanced Practice Nurse.
- Certification as a Nurse Practitioner from the American Nurse’s Credentialing Center or American Academy of Nursing preferred.
- Current BLS and ACLS/PALS certifications required.
Experience:
- At least one (1) year of recent full-time experience providing direct patient care in an outpatient or acute care medical setting is preferred.
Skills/Knowledge/Abilities:

- Perform sensory requirements such as vision, speech, smell, touch, manual dexterity, fine motor skills, and hearing to assess and treat the patient accurately.
- Promote/deliver excellent customer service to internal (patients, providers, and staff) and external customers (visitors and vendors).
- Demonstrate positive and effective interpersonal and communication skills with colleagues, patients, families, physicians/providers, volunteers, and community; present information and respond to questions effectively.
- Work productively and cohesively within a team and resolve conflict/differences positively.
- Work in a stressful/demanding environment and take appropriate action to ensure quality patient care and the ability to cope with the job's physical and emotional demands.
- Maintain a calm and composed manner in emergency/stressful situations, taking appropriate action as necessary.
- Complies with mandatory, regulatory, and credentialing requirements, such as HIPAA, CLIA, CMS regulations/standards, drug prescription standards, etc.
- Accountable for proper coding and appropriate charging for all services rendered.
- Demonstrate attention to detail and maintain high accuracy; risk of error could result in significant harm or loss.
- Excellent organizational and multi-tasking skills with the ability to anticipate tasks and prioritize assignments.
- Ability to read, write, speak, and understand English.
- Experience with using everyday electronic computer tools (e.g., email, data retrieval, voicemail, and internet/intranet) as well as the ability to effectively utilize and enter information and clinical data in the electronic medical record (EMR), as well as use/handle all medical equipment utilized in the care of the patient.
- Proficiency with basic computer programs including Microsoft Word and Excel, and have good typing skills.
- Adaptability is essential to manage the needs of a department with unpredictable volume and resources.
