Klickitat Valley Health is seeking a compassionate and skilled Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP) to join our Family Medicine team in a rural primary care health clinic. This role offers the opportunity to provide high-quality mental health care while contributing to the overall wellness of underserved communities.
Responsibilities :
- Collaborate with behavioral health counselors, primary care providers, and a multidisciplinary team to assess, diagnose, and treat mental health conditions across the lifespan
- Conduct comprehensive evaluations and develop individualized treatment plans
- Manage psychotropic medications, ensuring appropriate prescriptions and follow-up
- Provide counseling and psychoeducation to patients and families
- Promote mental health awareness, reduce stigma, and increase access to behavioral health services within the community
- Display strong interpersonal skills, cultural competence, and adaptability to meet the unique needs of rural healthcare
