Job Summary
The Director of Nursing is a pivotal leadership role responsible for overseeing the nursing staff and ensuring the delivery of high-quality patient care in a home care or assisted living environment. This position requires a strong understanding of medical terminology, care plans, and nursing systems to effectively manage operations and uphold the standards of care. The Director of Nursing will lead a team of nurses, coordinate shift management, and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements while fostering a positive work environment.
Responsibilities
- Supervise and mentor nursing staff, providing guidance on best practices in patient care.
- Develop, implement, and evaluate care plans tailored to individual patient needs.
- Ensure compliance with all health regulations and standards within home care or assisted living settings.
- Manage shift schedules effectively to maintain adequate staffing levels at all times.
- Conduct regular assessments of patient health status and adjust care plans as necessary.
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to enhance patient outcomes through effective communication and coordination.
- Maintain accurate documentation related to patient care, MDS assessments, and nursing activities.
- Provide training and support to nursing staff on medical terminology, anatomy knowledge, and other essential skills.
Job Type: Contract
Pay: $55.00 - $75.00 per hour
Expected hours: 40 per week
