We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Staff Labor and Delivery Nurse to join in the healthcare team on one of our client in Waxahachie, TX.
In this critical role, you will provide exceptional care to expectant mothers during labor, delivery, and the immediate postpartum period.
You will work in a dynamic environment, ensuring the safety and well-being of both mothers and newborns while collaborating with a multidisciplinary team in a Level II Trauma Center.
- Start Date: 3-4 weeks after the offer.
- Job Role: Staff Nurse Labor and Delivery
- Shift: Days and Nights both are available.
- Tentative Hours/Week: 36 and 40 both are available
Requirements:
- 2 Years of work experience as RN Labor and Delivery.
- RN License TX or Compact.
- BLS (AHA), ACLS (AHA) and NRP.
Pay Scale: $ 32.00-53.00/Hour
Duties
- Monitor patients throughout labor and delivery, assessing vital signs and fetal heart rates.
- Administer medications as prescribed, ensuring proper dosages and timing.
- Perform IV insertions and manage intravenous therapy for patients as needed.
- Provide emotional support and education to patients and their families regarding the labor process and newborn care.
- Collaborate with physicians, midwives, and other healthcare professionals to develop individualized care plans.
- Assist in emergency situations by implementing basic life support protocols when necessary.
- Maintain accurate patient records and documentation in compliance with hospital policies.
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives to enhance patient care within the clinic setting.
Experience
- Current Registered Nurse (RN) license with experience in Labor and Delivery preferred.
- Familiarity with emergency medicine protocols is advantageous.
- Experience in a Medical-surgical or Pediatric Intensive Care Unit (PICU) setting is a plus.
- Strong skills in medication administration, IV insertion, and patient assessment are essential.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment while maintaining high standards of care.
