Job Overview
As a Licensed Practical Nurse, you will play a crucial role in providing quality healthcare services to patients. Your responsibilities will involve delivering direct patient care under the supervision of registered nurses or physicians.
Duties
- Provide basic nursing care to patients in various healthcare settings such as long-term care facilities, nursing homes, and outpatient clinics
- Assist in developing and implementing patient care plans
- Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by healthcare providers
- Monitor patient vital signs and report any changes to the healthcare team
- Perform procedures like IV insertion, catheterization, and ventilator management
- Assist in discharge planning and patient education
- Ensure proper pain management for patients
- Care for patients across the lifespan, including infants
Qualifications
- Must hold a valid Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) license
- Proficient in providing patient care with a focus on compassion and empathy
