Kline Galland's Hospice team provide one-to-one health care for seniors living throughout the Puget Sound region. Services are customized and provided by professionals when and where you need them most, often in the comfort of your home. It's all part of our Continuum of Care and caring that is never-ending.
We are hiring for a Full time Hospice Music Therapist (contract):
- Provide consistent professional music therapy support in accordance with Hospice protocols and accepted certification practices
- Be flexible with your schedule, supporting the needs of the patient
- Follow infection control guidelines per agency standard
- Communicate to RN Case Manager or Nurse Supervisor all occurrences involving patient issues that require attention
- Handle patient questions and concerns professionally and courteously
- Maintain a positive attitude and contribute toward a quality work environment
Qualifications
Must be a graduate of an accredited Music Therapy program
- Knowledge of principles, concepts and methodology of music therapy appropriate for chronically-terminally ill patients
- Ability to develop rapport, create a safe environment, and a mode of expression through music for patients and families
- Must have effective communication skills and be able to follow instructions to complete work as schedule
- Must maintain CPR certification
- Must carry current liability and malpractice insurance
- Must maintain applicable license by obtaining the necessary contact hours and competency
- Experience in home health or hospice preferred
- Must present proof of a current driver's license and have a dependable insured automobile
