Job Description:
We are seeking a reliable, detail-oriented, and highly motivated Legal Assistant to join our team. This role offers the opportunity to provide both administrative and legal support to our attorneys and paralegals in a fast-paced, professional environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Handle incoming calls: answer, screen, and direct appropriately.
- Greet clients and visitors professionally.
- Open, maintain, and organize client files with accuracy and attention to detail.
- Perform routine office tasks such as photocopying, scanning, emailing, faxing, and file management.
- Manage mailings, including certified mail and courier packages for overnight delivery.
- Support real estate transactions with tasks such as document preparation and file organization.
- Assist with additional support tasks and special projects as needed.
Qualifications:
- Associate or bachelor’s degree required; further education or certification in legal studies is a plus. Evening law students welcome to apply.
- Prior experience as a legal assistant or in an administrative role, 1 year preferred.
- Strong organizational and multitasking abilities.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook) and familiarity with E-Closing (preferred but not required).
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information with professionalism.
- A proactive and positive attitude with the willingness to learn and grow within the firm
