At Klingner & Associates, we're seeking a highly skilled Municipal Infrastructure Development Specialist to join our Water/Wastewater Department. As a key member of our team, you'll work on innovative water quality improvement projects, tackling complex wastewater challenges in various communities across Illinois, Missouri, Western Kentucky, and Iowa.

Your responsibilities will include leading water and wastewater infrastructure projects, managing timelines, budgets, and overall quality. You'll develop and review designs, plans, specifications, permitting, and final construction documents for water distribution systems, pumping stations, sewer collection systems, lift stations, stormwater systems, and water/wastewater treatment plants.
We're looking for someone with excellent time management skills, organizational abilities, and the capacity to handle multiple complex projects concurrently. Your expertise in Civil3D, Microsoft Excel, and Microsoft Word is essential, while experience with WaterCAD/WaterGEMS and Revit is a plus.
In this role, you'll have the opportunity to build strong business relationships with municipal and industrial clients, ensuring compliance with local, state, and federal regulations concerning water quality, water treatment, public health, and environmental protection.
- 5-10 years of demonstrated experience in municipal engineering and/or water/wastewater engineering is most desired
- A Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering or closely-related engineering field from an accredited university, at minimum
- Must hold a Professional Engineer license in Illinois or can obtain within three months
- Excellent working knowledge of Civil3D, Microsoft Excel, and Microsoft Word
