About the Position
We are seeking a highly skilled Civil Engineering Specialist to join our team at Klingner & Associates, P.C. As a Municipal Infrastructure Designer, you will play a crucial role in shaping the future of water and wastewater management systems.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement sustainable water and wastewater management systems.
- Lead complex infrastructure projects, overseeing timelines, budgets, and quality control.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality results.
- Stay up-to-date with regulatory requirements and industry trends, applying knowledge to provide forward-thinking solutions.
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with clients, stakeholders, and funding agencies.
Requirements:
- 5-10 years of experience in municipal engineering and/or water/wastewater engineering.
- Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or related field from an accredited university; Master's degree desirable.
- Professional Engineer license in Illinois (or ability to obtain within 3 months); licenses in Kentucky, Missouri, or Iowa also preferred.
- Excellent working knowledge of Civil3D, Microsoft Excel, and Microsoft Word; WaterCAD/WaterGEMS and Revit experience a plus.
- Strong time management, organizational skills, and ability to manage multiple complex projects concurrently.
- Clear written and verbal communication.
- Understanding of regulatory agency laws, ordinances, and regulations for municipal and industrial clients.
- Experience with various water/wastewater system funding agencies.
