The Role
We are seeking a highly skilled Municipal & Industrial Infrastructure Engineer to join our Water/Wastewater Department. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for leading water and wastewater infrastructure projects, managing timelines, budgets, and overall quality.
Main Responsibilities:
- Lead water and wastewater infrastructure projects while managing timelines, budgets, and overall quality.
- Develop and review designs, plans, specifications, permitting, and final construction documents for water distribution systems, pumping stations, sewer collection systems, lift stations, storm water systems, and water/wastewater treatment plants.
- Consider various technologies, system efficiency, reliability, operator capabilities, long-term need, and environmental impact to promote sustainable design.
- Provide specialized technical input as well as hydraulic/hydrologic modeling and evaluations to support reporting and design.
About You
- 5-10 years of demonstrated experience in municipal engineering and/or water/wastewater engineering is most desired.
- A Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering or closely-related engineering field from an accredited university, at minimum.
- Must hold a Professional Engineer license in Illinois or can obtain within three months.
- Excellent working knowledge of Civil3D, Microsoft Excel, and Microsoft Word.
