We are seeking a Seasonal Survey Technician to support our surveying and civil engineering projects during peak seasons. This seasonal full-time position is ideal for individuals with experience or interest in land surveying, mapping, and data collection. The role involves assisting survey crews with fieldwork, operating survey equipment, and ensuring accurate data collection for engineering and construction projects.
Key Responsibilities :
- Assist surveyors in conducting land surveys for engineering, construction, and land development projects.
- Operate and maintain survey equipment, including total stations, GPS receivers, and data collectors.
- Collect and document field data, ensuring accuracy and completeness.
- Perform construction staking, boundary surveys, and topographic mapping.
- Assist in processing survey data using CAD software and other mapping tools.
- Read and interpret survey plans, engineering drawings, and legal descriptions.
- Ensure compliance with safety regulations and company policies while working in the field.
- Maintain and transport survey equipment to job sites.

Under direct supervision, provides survey support to the Resident Engineer on projects to ensure construction compliance with plans, specifications, and contract documents. Tasks may include assisting with and receiving training in performing land surveys and conducting research on various construction projects of basic complexity which may include visually mapping / drafting legal boundaries and the potential placement of structures, utilities, and installations. Generates accurate and concise documentation regarding assigned aspects of the project. Ensures that responsibilities are delivered and adhered to with a level of quality that meets or exceeds acceptable industry standards for uniformity, thoroughness, and legal compliance for survey documents.
