What are the responsibilities and job description for the Legal Assistant position at KLK Law Group?
Workers’ Compensation law firm representing injured workers has an immediate opening for a receptionist/legal assistant to work in our Placentia office.
- Position is 30 hours a week.
- Compensation: Based on experience.
Duties and Requirements INCLUDE but are not limited to:
1. 3 year of previous workers’ compensation experience
2. Processing incoming and outgoing mail
3. Keeping files up to date by matching incoming mail and reports on A1 Law
4. Upload, tag, read, and rate PTP/QME/AME medical reports
5. Answer and initiate client calls
6. Schedule and notify clients of doctor appointments and court hearings
7. Assist with medical scheduling and calendar
8. Set up and enter new claims into case management system
9. Review, prepare, create, and/or send letters, reports, and forms
10. Should have excellent working knowledge of EAMS and Gemini with experience interfacing with the
WCAB, proficiency with filing pleadings and strong computer skills
11. Maintain and protect client confidentiality
QUALIFICATIONS:
1. Must type at least 75 WPM
2. Excellent spelling and grammar
3. Excellent organizational skills
4. Punctual and dependable
5. Friendly and confident
6. Professional demeanor
7. Excellent customer service skills
8. Proper phone etiquette
9. Ability to multitask and prioritize
10. Ability to speak Spanish is a plus
11. Familiarity with A-1 Law is a major plus
