The Financial Reporting and Consolidation Analyst will play a critical role in overseeing the consolidation of EDF Renewables financial statements using Business Objects Financial Consolidation (BOFC). Reporting to the Senior Manager, Financial Reporting and Consolidation, this role requires collaboration with various departments including FCPA, Accounting, Tax, and Treasury, to meet the needs of the Corporate Consolidation Department at EDF Renouvelables in Paris, France. The individual will manage complex financial transactions and ensure accurate reporting for assigned segments while training junior team members.

    Skills

  • 5 years of accounting experience, preferably with consolidation knowledge
  • Bachelors degree in Accounting or Finance, or equivalent experience
  • Experience in the Renewables / Energy sector in an international environment
  • Familiarity with Business Objects Financial Consolidation (BOFC) or Hyperion Financial Management (HFM)
  • Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel
  • Strong communication and problem-solving skills
  • Understanding of US GAAP and IFRS
  • Ability to work independently and within a team
  • Responsibilities

  • Manage deliverables and complex financial transactions related to consolidation
  • Prepare analytical reviews for Balance Sheet, P&L, and Cash Flow Statements
  • Validate and upload SAP data into BOFC, ensuring accuracy in reporting
  • Collaborate with Corporate Finance teams to create accounting entries
  • Lead training sessions on IFRS standards as necessary
  • Conduct Cashflow analysis and respond to data requests
  • Serve as primary contact for KPMG auditors and prepare necessary schedules
  • Communicate effectively with the Paris team

  • 5 years of accounting experience, with a focus on consolidation preferred
  • Bachelors degree in Accounting or Finance
  • Preferred experience in the Renewables / Energy sector in an international setting

    1. Do you have 5 years of accounting experience preferred; consolidation is a plus.

    2. Do you have a Bachelors degree in accounting and / or Finance or equivalent experience required.

    3. Do you have experience in Renewables / Energy sector in an international environment. - Preferred

    4. Do you have the ability working with Business Objects Financial Consolidation (BOFC) or Hyperion Financial Management (HFM) software preferred. SAP / ERP experience is highly preferred.

    5. Do you have experience with Microsoft Office Suite must possess particularly strong Excel skills and be knowledgeable in Word and Outlook.

    6. Must be able to demonstrate that he / she can work independently but also work as part of a team. Must be self-motivated, well organized and a demonstrated problem solver. Strong communication skills are required.

    7. Are you able to demonstrate an understanding of US GAAP and IFRS.

    8. Do you have demonstrated ability to perform necessary accounting and consolidation research and analysis of complex financial transactions and preparation of comprehensive memorandums of process and approach.

    9. Do you have experience working with teams, leading projects, and collaborating with other functions to solve complex business issues.for communication with the Paris team.

    10. Must be a US Citizen or Green Card holder.
