The Opportunity
We’re now hiring a Business Applications Analyst to support KLN Family Brands. The full-time employee in this position will be responsible for analyzing, optimizing, and supporting the business applications that drive our organization’s operations. This role involves collaborating with business users, the IT team, and vendors to ensure our applications are effective, efficient, and continuously improved. Additionally, you’ll play a key role in modernizing legacy systems by leveraging modern web technologies.
Essential Responsibilities:

Application Analysis and Support:
- Work closely with business units to understand their needs and translate them into technical solutions.
- Evaluate, test, and support business applications to ensure functionality, performance, and alignment with business goals.
- Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to business applications, ensuring minimal downtime.

Requirements Gathering and Documentation:
- Facilitate workshops and interviews with stakeholders to gather and document business requirements for new applications or system enhancements.
- Develop clear and concise functional specifications, user stories, and documentation for development teams.

System Integration and Testing:
- Collaborate with development and IT teams to ensure smooth integration of new systems or updates with existing business applications.
- Perform system testing and user acceptance testing (UAT) to ensure applications meet business requirements and are ready for deployment.

Application Training and Support:
- Provide training to end-users on new or updated applications, ensuring they understand the system’s features and functions.
- Offer ongoing support to users, answering questions and assisting with troubleshooting when necessary.

Process Improvement and Optimization:
- Develop and maintain reports using SQL and Oracle back-end and Microsoft SSRS report front-end.
- Upgrade legacy .NET desktop applications to modern web apps by leveraging modern frameworks such as Blazor and integrating advanced UI controls.
- Work with programming languages and tools to support system enhancements and customizations.
- Stay flexible and agile, ready to adjust responsibilities as business needs evolve.

Collaboration and Project Management:
- Work with cross-functional teams to prioritize and manage application enhancements, upgrades, and rollouts.
- Assist in project planning, coordinating tasks, and ensuring deadlines are met for application-related projects.
Job Qualifications

Education & Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree in business administration, Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field.
- Familiarity with enterprise resource planning (ERP) systems, CRM platforms, or other business applications is preferred but not required.

Skills & Competencies:
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Experience with gathering requirements, process mapping, and creating functional specifications.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint) and familiarity with application testing tools.
- Basic knowledge of programming/scripting languages (SQL, Python, etc.) and/or an understanding of database management is a plus.
- Excellent communication skills, with the ability to effectively collaborate with technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Strong project management skills and the ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
Benefits
- Base Pay: $50,000 to $75,000 per year
- Year 1 Bonus: $2,500 to $10,000
- Profit Sharing Eligibility: Begins after completing 1 year of employment
