We’re now looking for a Corporate Communications Specialist to assist with communications both externally to our customers, the public, and prospective job seekers, as well as internally to the team members of KLN Family Brands affiliated companies. As the Corporate Communications Specialist, you will work closely with the Communications and Talent Management teams, along with leadership across all four companies that make up KLN Family Brands.Your Duties and Responsibilities
- Developing, aligning and producing corporate communications to support the company vision and brand identity.
- Handling the creation and implementation of multiple forms of internal and external strategic communication activities, programs and content guided by the KLN vision, core beliefs and overall business strategy.
- Implementing lead strategies, producing content, and organizing events to help align the organization's goals in support of greater employee engagement and business impact.
- Updating and executing the KLN recruitment marketing plan including digital strategy, print and electronic media, company website upgrades and oversight, email campaigns, intranet, social media, etc.
- Generating comprehensive strategic plans that engage employees with the objectives, policies, vision, core beliefs and growth strategies of the company.
- Responsible for planning, storytelling, writing and editing to persuade, educate and inspire internal and external audiences to change behavior or understand the work environment.
- Assembling information and distributing scheduled internal communication such as Beekeeper content, emails and newsletters.
- Working with internal groups to produce video content including script writing and project management.
- Writing, editing and publishing KLN website and blog content.
- Supporting senior leadership in communicating key change initiatives, policy changes and other company information to employees.
- Collaborating with internal groups to develop communications strategies for key initiatives.
- Implementing public relations programs highlighting key projects, business initiatives and company news.
- Assisting in marketing internship opportunities to applicable schools and students.
- Assisting with crisis communications in times of need.
- Exercising discretion and integrity with highly confidential and sensitive information.
- Serving on the Community Health magazine editorial board.
Qualifications
- 1-3 years of general corporate communication experience that includes creation and delivery of written content for internal and external audiences.
- Skilled storyteller with excellent writing and editing skills and a proven ability to identify and crystallize key messages.
- Disciplined self-starter with strong attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Experience with generating and posting content on social media platforms such as Facebook, LinkedIn, Instagram, etc.
- Commitment to discretion and maintaining strict confidentiality.
- Creative thinking and analytical skills to develop alternative approaches and strategies.
- Experience using Adobe Creative Suite/Illustrator/InDesign/Photoshop and Canva is a plus.
- Video editing experience is preferred, but not required.
- Excellent interpersonal and facilitation skills, quickly establishing rapport and building productive relationships; ability to successfully navigate and resolve conflict.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office 365 products, including Excel, Outlook, Powerpoint, and Word.
- Bilingual Spanish proficiency is preferred, but not required.
Benefits
- Base Pay: $23.08/hr to $31.25/hr
- Year 1 Bonus: Payouts of up to $1,500 per Quarter
- Profit Sharing Eligibility: Begins after completing 1 year of employment (in 2023 profit sharing on average equated to an extra $5.68/hr for employees)
