Hours: 10pm-6am (Sunday night through Friday morning)
Benefits

- Year 1 Bonus: $1.22/hr
- 10% Shift Differential for Mid Shift: $1.79/hr

What We Are Looking For
We’re now hiring a Dry Packaging General Labor to assist operators and pack various products of a line to ensure continuous quality, efficiency and safety of that line for our dry packaging production team at Tuffy’s Pet Foods. If you have a passion for pets and this role matches your skill set, this position might be for you and you may have just stumbled upon the perfect role!
Essential Duties:
- Packing of various products in a timely and safe manner, maintaining highest quality standard.
- Communicate with operator, foreman and supervisor on any quality or safety concern.
- Assist operator in controlling code dates, expiration dates, stickers and any items unique to product specifications.
- Assist operator in controlling product quality, contamination, weight control and line efficiency.
- Will do general cleaning of production area.
- Will perform all other duties assigned by supervisor.
Qualifications
- General mathematical ability and basic computer skills
- Must not be afraid of heights, ability to climb 30 feet
- Be able to meet physical requirements necessary for this position
- Be willing to work hours and shifts as required by the supervisor
- Capable of performing all labor as required by this job
- Learning, memorizing and executing a sequence of procedures
- Must be able to read, speak, write and understand English
- Continuous walking, pushing, pulling, standing and reaching above shoulder level
- Occasionally bending, stooping, crouching, carrying and lifting
- Working in loud and at times dusty and hot environment
- Willing and able to get along with others. Be willing to fill in on other shifts as required by supervisor.
- Good judgment, communication skills and reasoning abilities.
- Ability to handle weights of up to 65lbs on a routine basis
