Maintenance Technician – Tuffy’s Pet Foods
Hours are 6am to 6pm Friday, Saturday, and Sunday (work 36 hours and get paid for 40)
Base Pay: $20.96/hr to $23.32/hr
Year 1 Bonus: $1.22 per hour worked
Profit Sharing Eligibility: Begins after completing 1 year of employement

What We Are Looking For
We’re now hiring a Maintenance Technician to support our Perham, MN Tuffy’s Pet Foods facility. The maintenance technician will be tasked to assist with and or perform the maintenance on all equipment at this facility, to perform job in safe and timely manner.
Essential Duties:
- Perform work with OSHA requirements in mind
- Proper use of hand tools
- Operate power tools – Grinders, welders, drills, saws etc.
- Work with – Alignment equipment – Dial indicators.
- Work with peer, and Supervisory groups.
- Lubricate and adjust equipment as required by manufacture.
- Perform maintenance, and preventive maintenance functions on all equipment.
- Trouble shooting on equipment as needed (Documentation).
- Perform equipment performance checks on scales, flow sensors etc.
- Perform safety checks on hoist, lifts, harnesses, ladders, ropes, cords, and chains.
- Be able to work in other areas of facility if needed.
- May be required to obtain a boiler license
- Train new departmental employees.
Qualifications
- Must not be afraid of heights or manlift, ability to climb 150 feet
- Learning, memorizing and executing a sequence of procedures
- Good Mechanical knowledge, Maintenance Skills and Basic computer skills
- Experience in metal fabrication / Welding – tig, wirefeed, stick, Metals –mild steel, stainless steel, aluminum, Silver soldering, Brazing.
- Experience in power transmission equipment – bearings, seals, belts, and gearboxes, Alignment of equip.
- Work shifts as required, safe work record, good attitude, take call in’s as needed
- Attend training that may be required.
- Must be able to read, speak, write and understand English
- Ability to drive forklift and pass certification exam
- Ability to handle weights of up to 100lbs and 50lbs on a routine basis
