Position Summary: Our high-volume capital markets sales team is seeking a driven, talented young professional pursuing a career in commercial real estate to join our industrial and office investment sales team in Washington, DC. This junior role offers an exciting opportunity for individuals looking to pursue a career as an investment sales broker with a top producing team at a major commercial real estate firm in the Washington/Baltimore region. As an analyst, you will work closely with the brokerage team to support transaction project management, client acquisition, new business development, marketing initiatives and operational activities. The analyst will work in our Washington, DC office with the industrial and office capital markets team supporting (2) sales brokers. Responsibilities include but are not limited to the following:

Transaction Project Management: coordinate with project team consisting of internal and external personnel (clients, investor prospects, graphic designers, photographers, etc). Update and produce various internal reports (listing marketing reports, pipeline reports); assist in due diligence efforts, property tours, and site visits.

Research and Analysis: conduct project-based research and data analysis, tracking market information such as properties on market and recently sold comparables; industry and market trends and data for property level information.

Sales Support: Prepare investment memorandums, pitch proposals, conduct market research, and facilitate client meetings and presentations.

Administrative & Marketing Support: Handle administrative duties such as maintaining client records, updating team contact database (CRM), processing transactions, coordinating social media marketing with internal company resources and operational initiatives

Continuous Learning: Stay informed about industry trends, market developments, and investment products relevant to industrial and office investment properties in the Washington/Baltimore region to effectively advise clients and contribute to team success.

Qualifications:

  • 2-3 years of direct commercial real estate industry experience via coursework, internships, and direct professional experience.
  • Quick learner with natural sense of urgency; self-starter, efficient, proactive communicator, ability to prioritize workload and adapt to changing conditions.
  • Commitment to be a student of the industry and build a network of relationships with KLNB team members and industry peers.
  • Technologically savvy and knowledgeable of industry software and research and writing tools. Proficiency in CoStar, LoopNet, Placer, Apto/Salesforce, Argus, Microsoft Office, specifically with a strong understanding of Excel, and Adobe is a strong preference.
  • Bachelor’s degree required
