Job Responsibilities:
- Serve as the primary liaison between Kloeckner Metals Corporation and coil coaters, ensuring smooth communication and operational efficiency.
- Enhance the overall customer experience by proactively addressing needs and resolving issues.
- Accurately receive and enter inventory into the ERP (Enterprise Resource Planning) system, both manually and through EDI (Electronic Data Interchange) receipts.
- Verify inventory receipts and collaborate with coil coaters to correct discrepancies, ensuring materials match order specifications.
- Expedite orders to meet customer demands and ensure timely production.
- Maintain ongoing communication with coil coaters to track order progress and resolve delays.
- Independently or collaboratively troubleshoot and resolve operational challenges.
- Enter manual production data when required or when EDI is unavailable.
- Assist in developing pricing and credit policies to optimize sales performance.
- Work closely with inside and outside sales representatives to support account management.
- Review and distribute quotes to sales teams, providing pricing guidance as needed.
- Address sales inquiries regarding order pricing and assist in ensuring accuracy.
- Monitor aged inventory, notify relevant branches, and develop strategies for reduction.
- Maintain and update shipping releases within the ERP system.
- Reconcile invoice discrepancies for accounts payable, ensuring all invoices flagged by the EDI system are reviewed and corrected.
- Perform additional duties as assigned.
Requirements:
- 5 years of progressive experience in painted materials and coil coatings.
- Prior experience in the metals industry is preferred.
Preferred Education & Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution.
