Job Summary

The Corporate Commercial Accounts Manager - Coil Coatings plays a key role in ensuring seamless operations between our coil coaters and customers. In this dynamic position, you'll manage inventory, expedite orders, and collaborate with sales teams to enhance customer experience. This position will require expertise in painted materials and coil coatings in the steel industry. Job Responsibilities:

  • Serve as the primary liaison between Kloeckner Metals Corporation and coil coaters, ensuring smooth communication and operational efficiency.
  • Enhance the overall customer experience by proactively addressing needs and resolving issues.
  • Accurately receive and enter inventory into the ERP (Enterprise Resource Planning) system, both manually and through EDI (Electronic Data Interchange) receipts.
  • Verify inventory receipts and collaborate with coil coaters to correct discrepancies, ensuring materials match order specifications.
  • Expedite orders to meet customer demands and ensure timely production.
  • Maintain ongoing communication with coil coaters to track order progress and resolve delays.
  • Independently or collaboratively troubleshoot and resolve operational challenges.
  • Enter manual production data when required or when EDI is unavailable.
  • Assist in developing pricing and credit policies to optimize sales performance.
  • Work closely with inside and outside sales representatives to support account management.
  • Review and distribute quotes to sales teams, providing pricing guidance as needed.
  • Address sales inquiries regarding order pricing and assist in ensuring accuracy.
  • Monitor aged inventory, notify relevant branches, and develop strategies for reduction.
  • Maintain and update shipping releases within the ERP system.
  • Reconcile invoice discrepancies for accounts payable, ensuring all invoices flagged by the EDI system are reviewed and corrected.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned.

Requirements:

  • 5 years of progressive experience in painted materials and coil coatings.
  • Prior experience in the metals industry is preferred.

Preferred Education & Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution.
