Job Summary
As a Supply Chain Intern, you will assist in collecting and analyzing supply chain data to help improve operational performance. You will work with business units to identify root causes of inefficiencies and contribute to process enhancements. This role reports to the Commercial Director.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct research and develop models to enhance the operational performance of the Kloeckner supply chain.
- Collaborate with managers to define and implement best practices for supply chain topics.
- Maintain structured data for supply chain projects.
- Assist in scheduling and coordinating team and project meetings as needed.
- Develop a self-service data model for Kloeckner associates to access performance information.
- Work with operations to address and improve performance based on ongoing analysis.
- Assist in presenting findings and recommendations to executive management.
- Coordinate with suppliers, manufacturers, and customers to optimize results.
Qualifications:
- Currently pursuing a Bachelor's or Master's degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, Logistics, or a related field.
- Strong analytical and organizational skills.
- Experience with analytics and visualization software (e.g., Excel, Power BI, SQL, or Python is a plus).
- Excellent communication and presentation skills.
- Ability to influence, lead, and work cross-functionally.
- Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to identify root causes.
