We are looking to add a Regional Sales Manager to our Team!
The Regional Sales Manager will execute sales strategy to achieve high volume targeted sales by promoting product features and benefits to new and existing customers in the assigned channel. The Regional Sales Manager must understand and execute each of their account specific plans in order to meet / exceed established revenue and profit goals.
- Produces new sales opportunities with targeted customers by creating and executing an action plan to secure new business.
- Works on the day-to-day operations of the sales department while maintaining focus on the companys strategic goals and the Klondike Cheese Sales Growth Plan.
- Analyzes Sales Statistics to determine business growth potential.
- Develops and or participate with the senior staff in the development of the strategic sales and marketing plan for the company. Will also will provide assistance in culinary marketing materials.
- Procures additional distribution to meet customer or future customer purchasing needs.
- Educates customers, distributors, and other salespeople on all company product lines.
- Develops, maintains, and improves business relationships with customers, brokers, distributors, and other industry agents.
- Collaborates closely with the sales and marketing teams on developing new products and services for customers.
- Coordinates planned sales events with production and assists in prioritizing unplanned sales spikes or supply shortages.
- Utilizes existing account management processes and reporting systems.
- Assists trade show selection and attends designated shows. Participates as required with personal representation at National Trade Shows.
- Provides timely, accurate, competitive pricing on all customers while striving to maintain maximum profit margin.
- Maintains accurate records of all pricing, sales and activity reports submitted by account executives.
- Control individual expenses to meet budget guidelines.
- Learns, understands, and communicates product attributes and how they compare with competitors.
- Learns and understands the manufacturing processes and gives tours of the entire operation as needed.
- Achieves assigned volume and profit goals.
- Responsible for negotiating strategic contracts and pricing programs within established parameters.
- Responsible for becoming a sales specialist in all Klondike Cheese Co. product lines.
- Responsible for periodic business updates as well as monthly activity reports.
- Bachelors degree (B.S.) from a four-year college or university is a preferred.
- 6-8 years of professional selling experience in the dairy industry (Retail, Foodservice, Ingredients).
- Proven track record of consistently exceeding corporate objectives and quotas.
- Strong presentation, communication, organization, leadership, and time management skills.
- Able to effectively coordinate sales operations with all other department/divisions of the company.
- Ability to understand and sell multiple product lines.
- Ability to monitor, analyze sales and market trends.
- Ability to interact and cooperate with all company employees.
- Self-driven, motivated and results driven.
- Sit 50% of the time, Walk 50%, Stand 20%, Bend at waist 5 x per week, Squat 2 x per week, Walk up and down stairs 5x per week, lift 10 lbs. 2-3 times per week, lift up to 30 lbs. occasionally.
