Description
The ERP Applications Specialist will serve as a subject matter expert of our ERP system (Microsoft Dynamics) to facilitate efficient operational and financial processes critical to running the business. This cross-functional individual will act as a liaison between accounting, operations, consultants, and others to trouble-shoot day-to-day issues and to support process improvements. A successful candidate will communicate effectively across all levels of the organization and be comfortable managing time-sensitive priorities. This position reports to the Controller and is on-site in our office in Monroe, WI with occasional off-hour remote support for production emergencies.
The ERP Applications Specialist will be responsible for providing day-to-day administration and maintenance of the company ERP system, including monitoring, troubleshooting, resolving issues, general production support activities, and ensuring the accuracy of data within the ERP system. The ERP Applications Specialist will work with the Senior ERP Applications Specialist in collaborating with various departments to understand business processes and identify opportunities for process improvements and ERP system enhancements.

Job duties will include:
- Assist with the maintenance, support, and optimization of the company’s ERP System.
- Collaborate with departments to understand and document business requirements.
- Correct shipment and receipt errors with production / warehouse inquiries.
- Coordinate and reconcile cycle counts and assist in performing the counts.
- Enter records of raw materials and finished goods into the ERP system.
- Update bills of material for cheese and yogurt products.
- Implement EDI documents, including advanced shipping notices and invoices.
- Maintain general ledger setup, such as monthly accounting periods.
- Provide training to end-users on ERP functionalities and best practices.
- Offer ongoing support to end-users to troubleshoot issues, analyze and test proposed changes to system processing, create and maintain reporting functions, and support ongoing ERP initiatives.
- Support digitization and automation projects; assist with system changes, integrations, and reports to support business processes.
- Assist with the maintenance or preparation of detailed documentation of system configurations, workflows, and processes.
- Monitor system performance and ensure optimal functionality.
- Schedule and coordinate and process year-end accounting functions, physical inventory, and file updates.
- Other projects and duties as assigned.
Qualifications
- Associate’s degree in accounting/finance, business or computer science. Bachelor’s degree preferred.
- 2-4 years of experience supporting ERP systems.
- Experience with warehouse management and production systems preferred.
- Experience with Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central or Navision ERP systems preferred.
- Proficient knowledge of Excel and other Microsoft software.
- Strong understanding of accounting principles.
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to collaborate with others.
- Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and ability to prioritize and meet deadlines.
- Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment with fluctuating priorities and deadlines.
- Physical requirements: Sit 80% of the time, Walk 10%, Stand 10%, Bend at waist 10 x per week, Squat 2 x per week, lift 5-10 lbs. 2 times per week.
- Position requires prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working at a computer, requiring near vision and manual dexterity.
