Due to growth we are seeking a Transaction Advisory Associate to work in a hybrid capacity out of our Providence, RI or Boston, MA office.
Job Responsibilities
- Conduct due diligence in buy-side and sell-side transactions
- Review target company financial information and other data to identify:
- Historical and projected financial, operating, and commercial trends.
- Quality of earnings adjustments.
- Working capital and debt considerations.
- Potential liabilities and other business risks which could impact valuation
- Assist in identifying pre- and post-acquisition transaction issues in the context of financial due diligence.
- Assist in drafting Due Diligence reports, including quality of earnings, working capital and other transaction related analysis.
- Coordinate work with other service teams (tax, IT) on the due diligence projects.
- Communicate effectively with internal supervisors/managers/partners and clients, target company management, investment bankers and other client advisors on a transaction
Job Qualifications
- Bachelors degree in Accounting, Finance or other relevant discipline
- 2 years of relevant work experience in public accounting or finance, with a background in auditing preferred but not required
- CPA or CFA designation is preferred, but not required
- Experience with Private Equity firms and their portfolio companies is preferred but not required
- Fundamental understanding of the cash, modified cash and accrual basis (GAAP) methods of accounting, including working knowledge of cash to accrual accounting.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent documentation and communication skills.
- Excellent Microsoft office skills (Excel, Word, PPT), experience with UpSlide and ProSystem Engagement is preferred but not required
- Strong working knowledge of QuickBooks is preferred, but not required
- Good general business knowledge
- Ability to work effectively and efficiently under the pressure of transaction deadlines

Salary : $80,000 - $90,000
