Design Quality Inspector - Medical Device

Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Design Quality Inspector to join our team. The ideal candidate will play a critical role in ensuring that our products meet the highest quality standards. This position involves conducting inspections, performing quality control tests, and collaborating with production teams to maintain compliance with industry regulations. The employee may be involved with developing and maintaining a controlled documentation system, outlining the interconnected relationships between various core system documents and process documents.
Essential Functions, Duties, and Responsibilities
- Learn and demonstrate the ability to inspecting final digital custom outputs.
- Learn and demonstrate the ability to understand standards and requirements.
- Learn and demonstrate the ability to maintain knowledge base of internal controlled documentation and the interconnected relationships between various documents.
- Conduct thorough inspections of incoming materials, in-process components, and finished products to ensure compliance with specifications.
- Utilize various measuring tools including calipers and coordinate measuring machines to assess product dimensions and tolerances.
- Implement quality assurance protocols and maintain documentation in accordance with standards.
- Perform quality control tests using vision inspection systems to identify defects or deviations from established standards.
- Collaborate with production teams to address quality issues, provide feedback, and recommend improvements for fabrication processes.
- Prepare detailed reports on inspection findings and assist in the development of corrective action plans as necessary.
- Stay updated on industry best practices and regulatory requirements related to quality assurance.
- Assure areas are kept in a clean, safe, and orderly manner.
- Perform other related duties as assigned.
Qualifications
- Proven experience in quality assurance or quality control within a manufacturing environment is preferred.
- Proficient in using measurement tools such as calipers and coordinate measuring machines.
- Experience with vision inspection systems is a plus.
- Strong attention to detail and analytical skills to identify potential quality issues effectively.
- Excellent communication skills for collaborating with cross-functional teams.
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
- A commitment to maintaining high-quality standards throughout all stages of production.
Educational and Experience Requirements
- High School Diploma or GED required.
- 1-2 years prior quality inspection experience required.
- Basic user of Microsoft Office applications.
- Prior experience in Quality Systems preferred.
