Klug Law Firm, located in Okemos, MI, is looking to hire an Associate Attorney to assist in the following practice areas: business, real estate, civil litigation and estate planning.
Associate will handle cases and assist attorneys in the following practice areas: civil litigation (mostly business/commercial matters); real estate development; commercial lease issues; residential lease issues; business formation; business transaction (sale and acquisition of businesses); commercial transaction, and estate planning. Other areas the associate might assist in are landlord tenant matters, estate planning and probate matters.
Candidate must have strong legal research and writing skills as they will be drafting motions, briefs, leases and business agreements. Candidate will also meet with clients and appear in court for hearings and trials when needed.

Salary
· Hired candidate out of law school will be compensated at $60,000.00 until passing the bar and licensed to practice law in the State of Michigan. Salary will increase to $70,000.00 per year plus bonuses once licensed to practice law in the State of Michigan. Bonuses are determined based on collected billable hours. Depending on performance and billable hours salary will increase to $80,000.00 after full year of being licensed to practice law in the State of Michigan.
· Hired candidates licensed to practice law, salary is competitive based on experience.
Qualifications
· Must possess a Juris Doctorate from an accredited law school with a minimum GPA of 3.5 and falls under one of the following categories:
o An attorney licensed in the State of Michigan;
o A recent law school graduate who will sit for the February 2025 bar exam in the State of Michigan; or
o A law student who will graduate in May of 2025 and will sit for the July 2025 bar exam in the State of Michigan.
