Job Description
Position Title: Lead Pilates Instructor
Reports to: General Manager, Directors or Studio Owners
Status: Hourly, Non-exempt
POSITION
The Pilates instructor provides safe, effective group Pilates instruction using the reformer and other pieces of equipment. The Lead Pilates Instructor is an exemplary example of this and ensures that all instructional staff within the studio is abiding by brand standards.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
Participation in monthly Lead Instructor conference calls and subsequent training of staff regarding topics covered on these calls
Help manage studio schedule and ensure class types, times, levels and instructor scheduled are ideal to maximize occupancy and client satisfaction
Ensure that all images posted on social media sites reflect proper form and safety standards and are in alignment with Club Pilates standards
Regularly inspect equipment for damage or wear and make recommendations to management about updates
Stay up to date with and implement Club Pilates education standards at all times
Track and review other studio instructors for proficiency and performance on a regular schedule
Provided needed mentorship to instructors to ensure their teaching is up to Club Pilates standards
Assist with the Teacher Training Program: info sessions, mentorship of students/apprentices, etc.
Plan and provide client workshops/specialty classeson a regular schedule
Plan and execute instructor workshops on a regular schedule
Have availability to assist with grassroots efforts
Assist in the hiring and recruiting of new instructors
Provide Pilates classes, including group reformer classes, as directed and pursuant to Club Pilates standards and at times set by Club Pilates (e.g. learning names, asking for injuries, cueing Pilates exercises)
Must be skilled at proper and safe use of a variety of equipment during each class, including, but not limited to, hand weights, Exo-Chair, Reformer, Springboard and other equipment as needed to ensure a safe yet creative group experience
May be required to conduct private, semi-private, or other additional sessions a needed Will visually inspect the equipment prior to the beginning of class to ensure equipment is in good working order and safe to use
Instructor will be responsible for maintenance of the studio, including cleaning floor after each shift and making sure equipment is left in a specific configuration for the next shift.

QUALIFICATIONS
450-hour certification through Club Pilates or comparable education program
Excellent customer service skills required
Must be able to demonstrate effective group reformer instruction
Deep understanding and alignment with the Club Pilates methods
Demonstrated anatomical knowledge and focus on safety
Demonstrated effective group reformer instruction
In depth understanding of the benefits of Pilates and what sets Club Pilates apart from other Pilates studios
Willingness to evolve with new developments in the fitness industry, specifically Pilates
Comfortable adding TRX, Barre, and Trigger Point modalities to teaching repertoire
Team player and Proven leader
Passion for learning and willingness to attend continued education trainings and seminars
Punctual and Reliable
Ability to implement and streamline new procedures in a diverse environment
Ability to recognize areas of improvement and pro-actively communicate with management
Consistently uses excellent judgment

Valid drivers license, proof of insurance, and access to reliable transportation. Must have a clean DMV record and successfully pass background check. Daily and/or occasional travel may be required.
