Symmetry Pet Nutrition / Machine Processing Operator / Sanford, Maine
Symmetry Pet Nutrition is seeking a Machine Processing Operator, to be based in Sanford, Maine. If you would like to work at a local, fast growing, family style company where there is the opportunity for growth and greater responsibility, then this may be your job!
\n- Ideally food manufacturing industry experience
- Be able to life 50lbs on a regular basis
- Experience with calibration and measuring tools, (i.e. Scales)
- Ability to meet timelines and customer specifications
- Ability to follow Standard Operating Procedures to the letter
- Team player but needs to be able to work independently
- Ability to document actions as necessary for the Food Safety System.
- Responsible for daily/weekly/monthly sanitation for the area as specified by company policies and procedures
- Ability to commute to Sanford on Monday through Friday.
- Hourly pay range: $ 23-26 an hour
- 3 weeks paid vacation plus PTO!

- Blend raw ingredients for products in various mixers according to specific
- recipes
- Monitors and documents all aspects of producing mixer batch(s)
- Maintains equipment according to maintenance schedule
- Follows production schedule/plan to meet customers timelines and specifications.
- Plays a key role in food safety and food defense
- Contributes to the team by completing tasks as necessary
- Ability to operate a variety of equipment including mixers, extruders, etc.
- Works safely according to a company’s and OSHA safety procedures
