SUMMARY OF POSITION:
This position is responsible for inspecting finished goods for defects, burrs, etc. as they relate to the KMC product standards and quality specifications.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

- Examines finished goods and materials for cosmetic defects, miss-formed parts, burrs, and general KMC product standards.
- Verifies specified dimensions of products using pin and plug gauges, attribute gauges, calipers, height stands, and other inspection equipment.
- Rejects defective parts and marks type of part defect on appropriate container.
- Package product to customer standards while maintaining an accurate count of the product.
- Perform limited transactions in ERP system (Plex) to update and split off inventory levels
- Other duties as assigned or required
QUALIFICATIONS:
To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill and/or abilities required.
- High school diploma or general education (GED) or one to three month’s related experience and/or training; equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Experience using basic metrology equipment.
- Good math skills, basic reading & writing skills
- Good organizational & communication skills.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to use hands to finger, handle or feel; frequently required to sit and talk or hear; occasionally required to stand, walk, reach with hands and arms. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this position include close vision and the ability to adjust focus.
