What are the responsibilities and job description for the Saw Operator position at KMETF?

Duties and Responsibilities
- Set up the saw machine, making adjustments
- Set stops or guides to specified lengths
- Read blueprints or technical drawings and make adjustments
- Operate the saw machine, keeping an eye out for any defects or issues
- Mounts workpiece in holding device, manually or using hoist.
- Scribes reference lines on material as guide for sawing operations, according to blueprints, templates, sample parts, or specifications.
- Use measurement tools to ensure accuracy
Requirements and Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED certificate preferred
- Experience operating a saw (1-3 years preferred)
- Operate a multiple angle saw
- Ability to cut material at a 45 degree angle
- Accurately read a tape measure
- Mechanically inclined
- Forklift experience a plus
- Basic math skills
- Ability to lift up to 50-70 lbs.
- Attention to detail
Must be a US Citizen
· Pass a drug test
· Applicants cannot have any felonies within the past 7 years and no domestic violence or any crime in which a firearm was used

Hours: 6:00am - 2:30pm / 2:00 p.m. - 10:30 p.m.
