Full job description :
The Courtyard by Marriott Bistro Attendant delivers service excellence to our guests and creates a welcoming, comfortable environment. This position is responsible for taking orders, preparing and delivering items, following accurate cash handling procedures, organizing and maintaining a clean service area, cleaning tables and area, and following all health and alcohol laws.
Performance Expectations :
- Greet guests and ensure prompt requests for food and drink orders.
- Present menus, answer questions, and make suggestions regarding food and service.
- Relay orders to the kitchen and beverage services.
- Observe guests to fulfill any additional requests and to perceive when meal portions have been completed.
- Maintain a clean work and storage area.
- Assist in the set-up, cleaning, and refreshing of the function rooms.
- Process all orders using Micros and collect payment from customers
- Prepare ingredients for cooking, including portioning, chopping, and storing food.
- Provide assistance in Food and Beverage areas including busing, cleaning, resetting tables, and delivering food to guests (room service delivery).
- Perform general cleaning and maintenance of Food and Beverage prep areas.
- Count the bank at end of shifts and follow property control audit standards and cash handling procedures.
- Perform all side work at the end of shift including rolling silverware, stocking, and other duties as assigned.
- Report any items in need of repair.
- Follow all safety procedures while working.
