Job Summary
My client, Keystone Folding Box (Newark, NJ) has an exciting and immediate opportunity for an experienced Printing Operator with a minimum of five years of experience running a RMGT 10 series or Komori 6-color with UV sheet feed printing press.
This is a union position – 45-day probationary period – direct hire, full-time, permanent, onsite position. One shift: currently 6:00 a.m. – 2:00 p.m. Monday through Friday with overtime required based upon customer demand. Responsibilities
You are responsible for preparing and operating printing machines, i.e., ensuring that the machines are set up correctly, running properly, and producing quality product as per customer specifications; troubleshooting any issues that arise during the print process, performing regular maintenance, and making minor repairs to the machinery. Careful attention to detail is crucial in monitoring the accuracy of job specifications and adherence to time schedules.
In this position, you will
- Adjust machine settings for different job requirements, including paper size and ink distribution.
- Inspect machines for any defects and performing preventive maintenance.
- Load, run and unload print jobs, while overseeing and guiding the print process.
- Monitor the print runs for quality control to ensure that printed materials meet the preset standards.
- Maintain a clean and safe working environment to comply with health and safety regulations.
- Log job data and maintain records of jobs completed and machine issues.
Requirements:
· High school diploma
· Five years’ experience operating a RMGT 10 series or Komori 6-color with UV sheet feed printing press
· Good communication skills
· Works/interacts well with others
· Reliable and punctual
· Pays close attention to detail
· Sensitive to time management and committed to meeting deadlines
· Operates presses/equipment safely and responsibly
