What are the responsibilities and job description for the Quality Specialist position at KMIN USA?

Job Responsibilities:

· Effectively manage the daily activities of their respective Customer needs

· Develops and recommends inspections, sampling techniques and quality control procedures using the production of finished products that meet or exceed quality specifications and standards. Develops and ensures the maintenance of the IATF/ISO 16949 quality system.

· Maintains continuous improvement effort by conducting research on product defects recommending improvement modifications for correction and studies cost improvement methods/projects making recommendations.

· Writes and institutes inspection and testing procedures for incoming and finished products periodically reviewing and re-evaluating current procedures to ensure proper product inspection and testing are done.

· Lead Short Term C/A and containment activities onsite at the customer when poor quality events occur

· Investigate and communicate actual customer root cause (Verify Customer Claim)

· Effectively Complete Customer 3 Panels Communications and submit to Customer when required

· Establish a working relationship between KMIN and respective Customer Rep

· Maintain Departmental Customer KPI’s (Key Performance Indictors) for their respective end items to support Upper Management Objectives

· Follow all KMIN and KMIN Customer rules, regulations, and initiatives

· Maintain KMIN Quality Documentation (PPAP, PFMEAs, Control Plan, Check Sheet, II, etc.) accuracy

· Maintain Customer KC’s (Key Characteristics) and SC (Safety Characteristics) Documentation for assigned parts

· Conduct internal control plan audits to ensure plant level quality and work with the KMIN QC group to ensure nonconformities are corrected immediately.

· Attend customer required meetings and create necessary material when respective part is involved

· Following Department Manager's direction.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $50,000.00 - $60,000.00 per year
