Project Planning: Collaborate with project managers and contractors to plan and organize fence installation projects. This involves reviewing project specifications, blueprints, and requirements to determine the necessary materials, equipment, and workforce.
Crew Management: Lead and manage a team of fence installers and laborers. Assign tasks, provide instructions, and ensure that the crew follows safety protocols and project guidelines.
Fence Installation: Direct and participate in fence installation activities, which may include digging post holes, setting posts, stretching chain-link fabric, installing wood or vinyl panels, and securing gates.
Quality Assurance: Ensure that the fence installation work meets quality standards and adheres to the project's specifications and design.
Material Management: Oversee the ordering and delivery of fence materials and coordinate their distribution to the job site.
Equipment Operation: Operate and maintain construction equipment, such as post hole diggers, power saws, and other tools used in fence installation.
Safety Compliance: Enforce safety guidelines and best practices to minimize accidents and injuries on the job site. Conduct safety meetings and training sessions for the crew.
Time and Cost Management: Monitor the progress of the project to ensure it stays on schedule and within the allocated budget. Report any issues or delays to the project manager.
Problem-Solving: Identify and address any challenges or obstacles that arise during the fence installation process. Propose solutions and work collaboratively with the team to overcome issues.
Customer Relations: Interact with clients, address their concerns, and provide updates on project progress and timelines.
Documentation: Keep accurate records of work hours, materials used, equipment maintenance, and any other relevant documentation.
Post-Installation Inspection: Conduct post-installation inspections to verify that the completed fence meets project specifications and customer expectations.
Training and Development: Provide training and mentorship to new and less-experienced crew members to enhance their skills and knowledge.
Fence Foremen typically have a strong background in fence installation and construction, with hands-on experience in the field. They should possess excellent leadership and communication skills, as well as the ability to work well under pressure to ensure the successful completion of fence installation projects. Additionally, knowledge of safety regulations and construction practices is crucial for this role.
Qualifications:

Pay: $48,000.00 - $75,000.00 per year
