RESPONSIBILITIES
- Respond to assigned tasks in the GPO’s assignment tracking system ServiceNow
- Modify existing reports and semantic models based on requests submitted through the service desk
- Identify required data and its relationships within enterprise systems such as Oracle Federal Financials, Azure-based .NET systems, or EFI Pace
- Coordinate data feed setup with the Enterprise Service Bus (ESB) team when new data is needed
- Add new fields to Azure Synapse semantic models when data already exists in the Data Lake
- Build and enhance reports using Power BI and Business Objects to align with business unit needs
- Conduct iterative development with business users to ensure report accuracy and usability before production release
- Implement updates and enhancements to existing reporting assets as requested by GPO business units
- Participate in planning for developmental reporting projects including those requiring Technical Change Control Board (TCCB) review
- Manage and deliver ad hoc reporting requests (e.g., audit reports, leadership dashboards, one-time data pulls) throughout the contract year
- Support team transition from Business Objects to Power BI by building new reports and helping replicate legacy functionality in the modern platform
KNOWLEDGE & SKILLS
- Knowledge of Azure Synapse semantic models and data flows required
- Knowledge of ServiceNow or similar assignment tracking systems required
- Knowledge of Agile or iterative software development practices required
- Knowledge of Business Objects universes and report architecture preferred
- Proficiency with DAX, Power Query (M language), or similar scripting tools within Power BI preferred
- Strong communication skills and ability to collaborate across teams
BACKGROUND
- 5 years of experience developing and maintaining reports using Microsoft Power BI and/or SAP Business Objects required
- Experience modifying semantic models in Azure Synapse or a similar cloud-based data environment required
- Experience identifying and integrating data from enterprise systems such as Oracle Federal Financials, SQL Server, or .NET-based systems required
- Experience participating in Agile or iterative development environments required
- Experience responding to tasks in structured systems like ServiceNow or similar ticketing platforms required
- Experience coordinating closely with business units to iteratively develop and refine reports required
- Experience working in enterprise or government IT environments required
- Experience working with SAP Business Objects universes preferred
- Experience supporting SAP Business Objects server maintenance, including patching and upgrades preferred
- Experience migrating reports or environments from SAP Business Objects to Power BI preferred
- Experience developing reports using DAX, Power Query (M language), or similar scripting tools in Power BI preferred
- Experience supporting audit-related or executive-level reporting requests preferred

- Bachelor’s degree in information systems, business, or a related field preferred
