Job Description:
As a Dozer Operator on our Dirt Crew at KN Excavation, your role will be crucial to the success of our earthmoving and grading operations. Your responsibilities will include:
- Operating dozers with precision to perform grading, backfilling, and earthmoving tasks.
- Working closely with the dirt foreman and other crew members to meet project specifications.
- Reading and interpreting blueprints, grade stakes, and site plans for accurate grading.
- Using GPS-controlled grading systems (if applicable) to achieve precision in excavation and leveling.
- Ensuring safe and efficient operation of equipment, following all company safety policies and OSHA regulations.
- Performing routine maintenance and inspections on the dozer to ensure proper functionality.
- Contributing to a positive and efficient work environment within the team.
Qualifications:
To excel in this role, you should possess the following qualifications:
- Proven experience as a Dozer Operator, particularly in site grading and earthmoving.
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints, grade stakes, and site plans.
- Experience operating GPS grading systems (preferred but not required).
- Strong understanding of cut and fill operations, slopes, and compaction techniques.
- Experience working in a team environment and taking direction from supervisors.
- Commitment to operating equipment safely and efficiently.
