- Effectively lead and guide the Shipping department team
- Prepare for start-up meetings which include running and preparing reports
- Ensure the team is prepared for each day's activities
- Monitor and guide the team throughout the day
- Monitor docks for proper movement of items, including products left behind, misloading, or incorrect staffing
- Coordinate the shipment of products and materials to customers, ensuring accuracy and timely delivery
- Make sure shipments comply with regulatory requirements
- Communicate with customers, carriers, and other stakeholders to ensure smooth operations and resolve any concerns that arise
- Maintain accurate records of all shipped and received items
- Communicate with Logistics Supervisor and other departments regarding shipping goals, progress, and concerns
- Promote safe working conditions
- 5 years of shipping experience in a warehouse environment; 1 year of experience in a Lead position
- High School diploma or GED
- Basic skills in MS Word and Excel, Word, and Outlook
- Experience using RF scanners and ERP systems such as Syteline
- Ability to handle multiple priorities efficiently and effectively
- Ability to communicate effectively across a diverse customer base; good verbal and written communication skills, and good interpersonal skills with the ability to deal with individuals at all levels, both inside and outside the organization
Salary : $24 - $27
