Position Overview
Individual manages all activities respective to inbound and outbound shipments on the loading dock. This is inclusive of supervising all personnel in these departments.
Duties & Responsibilities
Must have a minimum of a high school diploma- college degree preferred. Manufacturing experience preferred. Must have basic computer and problem solving skills. The ability to effectively communicate with all levels in the organization is required. Must be able to utilize the appropriate management systems such as the AS400 and MS Office. Must have regular attendance.
Physical/Mental Requirements Needed to Perform the Essential Functions of the Position:
Normal lifting, sitting, standing, squatting, bending and stooping may be necessary. Will be exposed to extreme heat and extreme cold. Must be able to read and interpret blueprints and other reports. Must have good communication skills. Lifting up to 50 lbs is routine.

- Follows production schedules and works closely with production scheduling to optimize schedules and meet the required customer load dates. When needed, adjusts schedules to maintain productivity goals- provided production scheduling department concurs.
- Compliance to all safety/environmental regulations.
- Enforces and promotes safety requirements by observation and directing departmental employees.
- Promotes and maintains a positive department environment through communication with employees, consistent application of policies/guidelines and participative management techniques.
- Monitor and train loading personnel that insures accuracy and quality of the material being loaded.
- Responsible for inventory management including: rotation, organization, utilization of locating system.
- Initiate effective improvements for cost savings of shipping supplies, loading hours.
- Participate in cycle counts and audits along with resolution to inventory discrepancies.
