Job Overview:
We are seeking a versatile and reliable individual to join our team as a Warehouse Associate and Facility Maintenance personnel. This role is crucial in ensuring the efficient operations of our warehouse and maintaining the overall functionality and appearance of our property in Pineville, NC.
Responsibilities:
Primary role - Warehouse Associate:
- Receive, inspect, and organize incoming shipments of Knapp Connectors products.
- Accurately pick, pack, and prepare orders for shipment.
- Maintain organized inventory and perform regular stock checks.
- Operate forklifts and other warehouse equipment safely.
- Collaborate with team members to optimize warehouse processes.
- Ensure the cleanliness and orderliness of the warehouse.
- Work closely with the order processing and purchasing team to ensure timely and accurate shipments.
- Inspect products for quality before packaging and shipping.
- Perform product inventory counts as needed
Secondary role - Facility Maintenance:
- Conduct routine inspections of the facility to identify maintenance needs.
- Perform general handyman tasks.
- Address and resolve issues related to building systems and equipment.
- Ensure a clean and safe environment both inside and outside the facility.
- Develop and follow a preventive maintenance schedule.
- Identify and implement energy efficiency and cost-saving improvements.
- Conduct regular safety inspections.
- If/when needed. Coordinate with external contractors for specialized repairs or maintenance.
Qualifications:
- Proven experience in warehouse operations and facility maintenance.
- Knowledge of forklift operation and warehouse safety procedures.
- Basic handyman skills.
- Strong work ethic and reliable.
- Strong communication and organizational skills.
- Ability to prioritize tasks and work independently.
- OSHA certification, HVAC certification, or similar qualifications are a plus.
- Ability to lift and carry packages up to 60lbs
Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Must pass a background check.
- Valid driver’s license.
- Physical ability to lift and move heavy objects.
- Forklift certification is a plus.
