Summary of Position:
As a Project Engineer, you will design, develop, and test all aspects of plant automation, and machinery. Apply knowledge of engineering principles to design machine controls. Install, program, repair, and troubleshoot all plant equipment. Provide technical support to plant staff and contractors. Review plans and other technical documents. Determine scope and/or timing of the project, and monitor cost and project progress. In addition, you will develop cost estimates and schedules.
Responsibilities
- Initiate, design, and manage improvement projects (e.g., new equipment installation and equipment modifications) to reduce scrap and improve quality, reliability, and throughput as directed.
- Review plans and other technical documents, determines scope and/or timing of the project, and monitors costs and project progress.
- Support Operations group to accomplish clean-outs, preventive maintenance downtimes and machine rebuilds in a timely fashion.
- Assist Maintenance in troubleshooting equipment that requires additional technical knowledge or expertise.
- Maintain plant drawing system by making appropriate updates to drawings and documentation on equipment.
- Support other plants with Engineering projects and rebuilds as needed.
- Support weekend duty rotation.
- Manage contractors supporting plant related maintenance work.
- Drives the highest levels of employee retention and engagement to ensure a sustainable workforce.

Qualifications
Education:
- 4-Year Engineering or Technical degree; or equivalent experience
Experience:
- Minimum (3) to five (5) years’ Project Engineering experience in an Industrial Manufacturing facility or Similar
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
- Knowledge of SolidWorks, Inventor or AutoCAD required.
- Project management experience required.
- Ability to travel 5-10% of the time as needed.
- Troubleshooting skills
- Problem resolution skills
- Computer skills in a MS Windows Environment; proficient in PowerPoint, Word and Excel
