The Production Superintendent is responsible for monitoring and directing all operations for two production lines. This includes the full value stream from raw materials to finished goods within the facility. The role focuses on safely producing high-quality products in line with established production standards. In the absence of the Production Manager, this role serves as the main point of contact.

The Production Superintendent is responsible for monitoring and directing all operations for two production lines. This includes the full value stream from raw materials to finished goods within the facility. The role focuses on safely producing high-quality products in line with established production standards. In the absence of the Production Manager, this role serves as the main point of contact.
Key Responsibilities:
- Embody, engage, model, and ensure safety throughout the site.
- Uphold Health, Safety, Environmental, Energy, and Quality compliance with laws and ISO standards.
- Manage Plant workforce for assigned crew, lead and mentor primary workforce during onsite hours.
- Lead Daily Shift Communication Meetings with off-going shift leadership team and on-coming shift.
- Delegate work assignments/projects based on priorities, keeping Safety as the highest priority.
- Offer performance feedback to employees, both positive and constructive.
- Review production schedule and assign people to tasks accordingly.
- Monitor equipment operating performances and contact maintenance for repairs or adjustments.
- Prepare necessary paperwork and record keeping for shifts.
- Main point of contact for employee relations, training, mentoring, and overall employee experience.
- Participate in professional development tailored to individual needs.
- Develop and mentor Supervisors and primary workforce for succession planning.
- Lead Root Cause investigations for safety and other topics.
- Promote a continuous improvement culture, bringing fresh ideas and participating in solution finding.
- Drive employee retention and engagement to ensure a sustainable workforce.
- Foster a culture of innovation, collaboration, and accountability within the organization.
Qualifications:
Education:
- Bachelor's Degree in Business, Management or related field preferred
- Lean Certification preferred
- Minimum five (5) to eight (8) years of production experience in an industrial manufacturing facility
- Minimum three (3) to five (5) years of management experience in a similar environment
