Summary of Position:
The Customer Finance Team Lead will support Knauf’s strategic customers through all phases of customer maintenance including identifying and resolving billing issues, driving monthly collection targets, proactively monitoring for credit limits, and delivering exceptional customer service. Responsibilities
- Provide exceptional customer service while interfacing with customers, sales representatives, and management. Notify sales personnel of potential problem accounts, blocked orders, and reconciliation issues such as short pays, short ships, and tax issues. Investigate these differences and process claims accurately and timely, while providing copies of invoices to customers.
- Maintain customer relationships by responding timely and accurately to both internal (company) and external (customer directly) questions and requests for information. Make periodic on-site customer visits to build rapport and resolve account differences.
- Call customers and schedule resolution sessions to understand the procure-to-pay cycles of customers and keeping detailed notes in the collection tools. Provide weekly/monthly updates to management.
- Recognize and improve processes for positive changes throughout the organization.
- Monitor credit limits, identify and perform credit analysis utilizing credit reports, customer references, financial statements, and other reliable information to monitor and evaluate credit limits to make recommendations on credit limits to the Credit Risk Manager.
- Create, manage, and administer rebate accruals (conditional, non-conditional, promo and functionals) from Customer Sales Agreements to establish appropriate parameters for accruing, while having accuracy and timeliness of credits.
- Run aging reports and work reports to resolution for the assigned territory. This includes aging reports, unapplied cash reports, short pay reports, unapplied credit reports, aged items over 30 days and miscellaneous project related reports.
- Enter approved pricing into SAP timely and accurately to ensure accurate and timely billings and statements to customers both electronically and manually.
- Administer, analyze and communicate all forms of pricing (e.g., day-to-day, job, contract, on-invoice adjustments, etc.) using product hierarchy, material pricing groups, and customer hierarchy between Sales Force and SAP.
- Responsible for maintaining up to date exemption certificates received by customers and ensuring customer accounts are set-up properly for taxation purposes.
- Provide rebate reporting to management and other ad-hoc reporting.
- Create, update and maintain department work processes manual. Assist with training credit personnel on process changes, new account procedures, and new business segments/customers. Providing support and leadership for other Customer Finance Specialist.
- Meet or exceed monthly and yearly key performance indicator goals as set by management.
- Maintain customer confidence and protect operations by keeping information confidential.

Education:
- Associate's Degree in Accounting, Finance or related field; and
- Minimum (3) years of collections, credit and / or accounts receivable experience
- Knowledge of ERP systems; preferably SAP
- Computer skills in a MS Windows environment; Advanced Excel skills; Proficient in Word and PowerPoint
- Ability to travel approximately 5-10% of the time
