As a Licensed Massage Therapist at Knead Therapy, you will provide personalized, therapeutic massage sessions tailored to clients' individual needs. You will contribute to a welcoming, professional environment that promotes healing and wellness. This role involves maintaining high standards of service, staying current on industry trends, and embodying the core values of Knead Therapy.

• Perform a variety of massage techniques including Swedish, deep tissue, and other modalities.
• Listen actively to client concerns and create personalized treatment plans that address their needs within safe limitations.
• Maintain detailed and accurate SOAP notes after each session.
• Prepare treatment rooms, including setting up towels, table warmers, sound machines, and necessary supplies.
• Arrive at least 20 minutes before your first session to ensure adequate preparation time.
• Ensure all equipment and treatment areas are cleaned and maintained to company standards.
• Stay up to date with continuing education (CEUs) and industry developments.
• Contribute to maintaining a calm, relaxing environment for clients and team members.
• Display willingness to collaborate with other therapists and staff to create a cohesive wellness environment.
• Uphold Knead Therapy’s core values in interactions with clients and colleagues.
• Assist with laundry, folding, and stocking towels and sheets as necessary.
• Assist with client bookings and accept payments as needed.
• Contribute to the growth and success of the company by providing excellent service that encourages clients to return and send referrals.
• Assist with increasing client bookings and improving sales to support the growth of the company while growing your own client base.

• Must hold a valid South Carolina Massage Therapy License.
• Must carry professional liability insurance.
• Minimum 1 year experience in a variety of massage techniques (Swedish, deep tissue, etc.).
• Strong communication skills and the ability to listen and respond to client needs.
• Customer service skills - ability to provide an excellent client experience.
• Sales and upselling skills - ability to recommend add-ons, membership packages, and ask for referrals and reviews.
• Ability to maintain a high level of professionalism and confidentiality.
• A commitment to personal growth and ongoing education.
• Ability to work as part of a team and uphold Knead Therapy’s core values.
• Flexibility in scheduling, including evenings and weekends.

• Client base - client following that would provide immediate bookings and can be added to our company mailing list.
• 3-5 years experience in a variety of massage techniques.
• Advanced modalities - training in reflexology, lymphatic drainage, cupping therapy, or other specialized techniques.
• Experience in a luxury setting - previous experience in high-end spas, wellness centers, or boutique studios.
• Tech-Savvy - comfort with MassageBook, digital client notes and online scheduling systems.
