School Teacher - Elementary
The Twin Hills Hutterite School (Knees Elementary School District) is in need of an elementary school teacher. The teacher would need to be able to work in a multi-grade classroom. In school year 2024-2025 there will be 13 students. Perhaps you would be interested in applying for this position.
A little background : The Knees community is located in the middle of a dry land farming area. This area is very isolated. It is about 42 miles north of Great Falls, 45 miles NW of Fort Benton and east of Conrad and Brady (about 23 miles). All roads in the area are gravel. There is a one bedroom apartment available for the teacher to live in free of charge. Laundry facilities, tv, telephone, heat, garbage service, and internet are also provided. The apartment is located about 13 miles from the school.
The Twin Hills School is located on the Twin Hills Hutterite Colony which is within the Knees School district. There is one teacher at the school. There is also an aide that works four days a week. The County Superintendent of Schools is the school superintendent. She is in Fort Benton. The board is very supportive of the teacher and there is a part time, work-at-home clerk.
JOB DESCRIPTION :
To develop academic, social, and motor skills. Teacher must be able to work independently. Teach elementary school students a variety of subjects. Position begins August 2024. This position is supervised by the Knees School Board and the Chouteau County Superintendent of Schools.
ACADEMIC QUALIFICATIONS :
Applicant must be able to meet the qualifications for appropriate Montana Certification and Endorsement. Must be willing to obtain Montana Teaching Certificate if he / she doesn’t have one.Applicants will be fingerprinted for a background check
The district does pay into the Teacher Retirement System and there are generous bonuses, if applicable.
