Dental Hygiene Assistant

Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Dental Hygiene Assistant to join our dynamic dental clinic team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for providing high-quality support to our dental professionals while ensuring a comfortable and safe environment for our patients. This role requires proficiency in various dental procedures and infection control protocols.

Responsibilities

• Assist hygienists with cleanup and sterilization
• Maintain strict infection control protocols and adhere to aseptic techniques to ensure patient safety.
• Manage patient records using Dentrix software, ensuring all information is accurate and up-to-date.
• Provide support at the front desk as a dental receptionist when needed, including scheduling appointments and handling patient inquiries.
• Educate patients on oral hygiene practices and post-treatment care instructions.
• Assist in maintaining a clean and organized clinical environment, including sterilizing instruments and managing supplies.

Requirements

• Previous experience as a Dental Assistant in a clinical setting is preferred.
• Knowledge of infection control procedures and aseptic techniques is essential.
• Familiarity with Dentrix software is a plus.
• Certification in radiography or willingness to obtain certification within the first few months of employment.
• Strong communication skills with the ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment.
• Attention to detail and excellent organizational skills are crucial for success in this role.
• A commitment to maintaining patient confidentiality in compliance with HIPAA regulations.

Pay: $16.96 - $18.36 per hour
