What are the responsibilities and job description for the General Laborer position at Knife River - Cheyenne?
We are seeking dedicated and hard-working General Laborers to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for assisting with various tasks at construction sites or plant/pit locations.
- Persons shall be able to work safely and follow all company policies.
- Measures distance from grade stakes, drives stakes & stretches tight line.
- Uses various power and hand tools. Bolts, nails, aligns and blocks up under forms.
- Signals operators of construction equipment to facilitate alignment, movement and adjustment of machinery to conform to grade specifications.
- Levels earth using pick or shovel.
- Performs flagging duties as needed.
- May operate small equipment including bobcat, tractor, or roller or move from one site to another.
- Finishes freshly poured cement or concrete using float, trowel or screed.
- Persons shall be able to establish and maintain positive and effective working relationships with all personnel and to perform all duties safely and productively to ensure quality work.
Minimum Qualifications:
- 1-3 months verifiable experience.
- Must possess a valid class C state driver’s license and have an acceptable driving record, per Knife River Fleet policy.
- Regular attendance required.
